Admission Requirements  To be successful in the TYT and AYT exams conducted by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM). Admission conditions for foreign students are announced on the university's website at the beginning of each academic year.

 

History of  Program  Department of Economics has been accepting students since 2009.

 

Transition to the Upper-Level  Candidates who have successfully completed the undergraduate program can study in graduate (master's and doctoral) programs.

 

Graduation Requirements Students who successfully complete all of the courses in the program worth a total of 240 ECTS and achieve a grade point average of at least 2.0 out of 4.00 are eligible to graduate. In addition to successfully completing the courses, graduation work is essential for graduation.


Employment Opportunities  Our graduates can find jobs in both the public and private sectors. They can take the inspector, auditor, and assistant expert exams opened by various ministries, have these titles and work. Public and private sector banks, research institutions, national and international companies are also institutions where graduates of the department are employed. In addition, economics graduates can pursue an academic career by continuing their graduate programs.

 

Assessment and Evaluation  Students are subjected to midterm and final exams for each course. The contribution of the midterm exam to the success grade is 40% and the contribution of the final exam is 60%. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. It is obligatory to get at least 45 points from all exams. Students who get one of the letter grades of AA, BA, BB, CB, and CC from a course are considered successful in that course. In addition, students with a grade point average of at least 2.00 for a semester are considered successful in the courses they received with a DC letter grade. At the end of each semester, students can take the make-up exam for all the courses they failed in that semester.
